For those looking for a cork or tack board of some sort, there are many choices available. However, these choices don't stray too far from your average look and design since most bulletin boards look like bulletin boards. What are "Liquid Chalk" markers, you say?
What differentiates them from standard neon or fluorescent-type markers is the pigment. Fluorescent markers use dye as the coloring medium, and they are definitely bright but a little on the translucent side. Liquid chalk markers have thicker pigment suspended within the water-based ink. When used, these markers provide a flow of color much richer than the fluorescent types and, when dry, allow for more a more opaque than translucent quality. These markers really strut their stuff on black writing surfaces as well as on illuminated marker boards. When lit from underneath, the colors really look great and provide a "can't-ignore" beacon for customers and patrons to latch onto.

The tack board frame is standard aluminum extrusion which encases the rubber tack board material. The substrate is comprised of a layer of blue/black speckled rubber adhered to a half inch thick fiber board. Unlike some other tackboard surfaces, inserting tacks into this substrate is easy, requiring a minimum of effort. The rubber material is mildew, moisture, and fade resisitant.
